Psa 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will
remember the name of the LORD our God.

Keep Christ in Christmas
The star of the poinsettia leaf is said to represent the star
that stood over the Christ Child. The red flower symbolizes the shed blood of
Christ who came to be our Savior and the blood of the male infants that King
Herod had slain. The white reminds us of the purity of His sacrifice. Based on current advertising, AFA compiled a list of companies
that avoid, ban, or use the term "Christmas" in their
advertising. http://www.afa.net/christmaslist.asp As of Dec 15th, Costco changed
their tune. Two weeks ago, their website
and store was practically absent of any references to “Christmas.” Today, you’ll find Christmas prominently
featured on their website and email promotions. And, if you call their corporate offices, you’ll be greeted
with “Merry Christmas from Costco!”
One unnamed store manager said, “The company has received so many
emails and complaints that they are changing all their holiday cakes to say
Merry Christmas and will be saying it in the stores.” http://www.costco.com/ "Should Christians celebrate Christmas?" or, "How should a Christian celebrate Christmas?" These are questions of concern for many sincere believers. After considering eight specific arguments, this author concludes that each family needs to make up their own minds. Parents can explain the traditions and have fun with them, but make sure children understand the historical roots and use these things to teach the truth behind the traditions. http://www.bible.org/page.php?page_id=2561 Use the Christmas season as an opportunity to share the story of
Christ, locally and abroad. www.christianaid.org Thailand Strategic Outreach – December 13, 2008 At Christmas, like no other time, unbelievers are drawn to
celebrations and want to learn about this Savior whose sacrifice inspires
such love and devotion. TSO needs our
earnest prayer for their Christmas outreach events that can potentially reach
thousand with the good news.
720TSO-12 Illyricum Mission (Albania) – November 20, 2008 Christmas is a “blessed time to talk about the gospel anywhere
in Albania, in Muslim and Orthodox communities,” writes the ILM leader. Pray that God will use their Christmas
evangelistic programs to plant a church in Gramsh and lead many souls to
Christ. They need $650 to cover each
of the two Christmas outreach programs.
340ILM-11 Life Missions Africa (Senegal) – November 4, 2008 No trees, decorations, or gifts are part of Life Missions
Africa’s Christmas evangelism campaign.
Believers throughout the nation prepare dinner meetings where they
show Christian videos, preach, and answer questions. Muslims who would never consider attending
church enthusiastically accept their believing neighbors’ invitations on
Christmas holidays. Each gathering
averages $250. 522LMS-11 Giza Evangelism and Discipleship (Egypt) – October 31, 2008 Join GED workers in praying for their Christmas evangelistic
outreach to 300 poor families. Workers
plan to visit each family with a gift of food, clothing, and blankets ($8 per
family) and offer them the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. 408GED-10 Don’t Be Fooled "The Bible's Buried Secrets," a new PBS
documentary aired in Nov, seemed designed to undermine the Bible. Perhaps the
"scholars" behind the PBS "documentary" simply chose to
ignore the evidence. After all, politically correct deceptions are far more
acceptable than facts to a world that no longer tolerates truth. But that's
all the more reason to be ready with answers to those who question our
beliefs. http://www.newswithviews.com/BeritKjos/kjos97.htm

The outcome of the presidential election in the United States
could determine if Israel chooses to target Iran's nuclear facilities before
the end of the year. Iran's nuclear facilities will soon be operational, the
window of opportunity is closing, and tensions are on the rise. In fact,
there have even been reports that Iran may strike first. The Iranian air
force has also conducted large-scale military drills simulating an attack on
Israel. Tehran's media claims the exercise tested its air force's ability to
fly to Israel and back without refueling, as well as its ability to jam US
and Israeli electronics and radar.

Israel is the focus of end times prophesy. “Journey Through Cancer” by Mark Ortega The year was 1978. My mother was dying of cancer. Because
medical technology wasn’t as advanced as it is today the Doctors didn’t
diagnose it till 6 months after she first got sick. When I first heard the
news my oldest sister told me on the phone. I naively asked her what was
going to happen to my mom. My sister told me she was going to die. I went off
to be by myself alone to cry. Shortly after that I saw her for the last time.
It must have been obvious that I was devastated. My mom felt bad that I had
to see her like that. Shortly afterwards she was gone. As the years passed
her mother, sisters and aunt died from cancer. For years I didn’t know how to
deal with the sorrow. It seemed like I couldn’t cry any more tears and my
heart would always be broken. But time, loving family and friends and most of
all the love of God helped me get through it. Then within the last few years
a very dear friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. I will call her
Godmother throughout this article to protect her privacy. For the rest of this article, go to http://cinews.traditionalvaluesnm.org/0812_cancer.htm.
